Happy Easter Everyone

Happy Easter!
Easter this year is at the Adamska home and are happy to have Ben's parents, Bob & Cathy with us, as well as Scott's parents, John & Alice.

Creative and talented would be two words to describe my parents. My parents this year asked everyone to design a Easter hat and bring it to the party. You will see some creativity in action this afternoon. You can count on that!
We had to quickly enjoy the Easter Egg Hunt before the showers began.

Spring is here! I love the flowers in my mothers yard.

Easter Hat Photo!
Each family designed a hat for this occasion. Looks like everyone had a great time with this project.

After the great meal that we always have at my mom's, who doesn't like their back rubbed! My family sure spoils my kids with rub downs.

Before the night was brought to an end, the grand kids enjoyed playing Candy land with Gammie and Grandma.

What matters most, is what lasts longest.
And that's what we have here,
FAMILY.

Toothless Lydia

Didn't she loose a tooth just 2 days ago? Yes she did! The tooth fairy gave her 4 quarters and a King size Kit Kat Bar. She loves chocolate so much I really think she is pulling out her teeth for chocolate!

Ice cream, You scream, We all scream for Ice Cream!

Scott went to South San Francisco and passed the It's It's factory. What a sweet heart Scott is, always thinking of me even when he is out working hard. He knew this simple picture would bring a smile to my face. And it surly did. It's It's bring me back to my childhood. As a child it was all about ice cream. Heck, who am I kidding, its all about ice cream as an adult! Am Pm was the happening place for the Adamska family. We bought It's It's, beef jerky, soda, soft serve ice cream, salt and vinegar chips and much more. Am Pm is where I was first introduced to It's It's. My favorite It's It's is mint chip.
Soft serve was the best because my Dad was the master at the amount of ice cream you can put on a cone. Am Pm was the place we went before a trip (long or short) or before a volleyball tournament, just on a hot day or just a craving for ice cream. It was great because Am Pm was right off the freeway; every convenient!
I love life situations that create memories of the wonderful times spent with family!

This Dates me

When I started dating Scott in 1996, he shared a room with his brother Spencer. They had a TV in their room, but sadly there was NO remote. At the time I was working at Barnes and Noble $8.00 an hr, so I saved my money and purchased this 13" TV with remote at Good Guys for $375.00. Scott was thrilled!
Wow, today you can buy a 32" LCD for $375.00....This surely dates me.
Memories will last, but this TV has not.

Things happens in 3's

My dishwasher broke, my kitchen faucet broke and Sarah ended the night with splitting her eye lid open. If things happen in three's, we are OK for awhile. I have never heard Sarah cry like that before. I got her to calm down a little when McKenzie was freaking out, which made Sarah cry more and then Lydia said, There's blood! Well you can imagine the rest. I was proud of myself, usually I am the one who is hysterical. Scott arrived just in time to patch up her eye lid.

What a difference a day makes.

Such a loving little brother.

Lydia's tooth

Funny little story behind Lydia's loose tooth. Lydia still sucks her thumb when she is tired and at night. After school she was sucking her thumb while watching TV and Scott comes down stairs and lifts her up by her thumb. She started to cry and said her tooth hurts. It was indeed loose. She was hysterically crying. Terrified of the thought of blood, imagining that the tooth would be coming out and the pain it was going to cause. Sarah on the other hand was crying with jealously. McKenzie was extremely excited and trying to tell her how to pull it out. So what I am saying is, it was quite quiet in the house. :)
The next morning after breakfast she pulled it out.

Here is my beautiful toothless girl.

Gammie and I spent the morning picking out fabric for her tooth fairy pillow. Gammie made one for McKenzie and what Gammie does for one she does for them all. The pillow turned out awesome! She also put a gift card in it and that made for another great surprise on a special day for Lydia.

We have an orchard!

We have an orchard! I was informed that the house in back of our orchard is in foreclosure. That's perfect, we will be moving there and a gate will be put in to have easier access to the garden/orchard.

The horses come out to play when the weather is as beautiful as it has been.

Blossoms

Our first apricot.

Today we are putting in Raspberries, Blueberries and Blackberries.

I guess I know where Porter gets his cheesy grin from.

The artichoke plants have enormous leaves.

I love the purplish hue to the broccoli plants.

Onions or is it garlic....All looks the same. We are planting both.

Carrots

Peek-a-boo
Mom/Dad's Orchard

With pruning, a marvelous watering system, and fertilizing mom/dad's orchard is going to off the chain this year. Just look at the photos.
Good Job, Scott!
