McKenzieism

Last weekend we went to tend the garden and Scott and I knew that Grandma was in Utah visiting Aunt Becky and Megan. So when we arrived at their house, McKenzie asked where Grandma was. I told her and her responds was, "How is Grandpa going to survive? Does he know how to cook?

Sarah broke her glasses so I took her to Costco to see if they could be repaired. the LADY AT OVER THE COUNTER ASKED HER HOW THEY broke and she said as she tilted her head off to the side, My Brother is just Toooo Much.

Busy Bee

For the last 3 months I have been babysitting these pretty girls.
Porter calls the baby, Sunshine.

And this little boy. Porter adores Peja.
Sometimes we have anywhere between 6-7 kids in our house.

The Two Birthday Girls

Here we come Erika......
The kids and I went to Erika's house on her birthday Sunday to surprise her.
As Erika opened the door, we broke out in song.

The girls were so happy to give Erika the same nightlight that they have in their room.

** The Two Birthday Girls**
Its great to share a birthday with such a wonderful girl as Erika.

Gardening with a Surprising Twist

Beans that Grandma planted are coming up beautifully.

Carrots

Red Bell Peppers
(my girls eat these like candy)

Porter calls it a ball.

My eggplant

It's time to cut the broccoli. We are going to plant more next week. We will have a better crop because they do better when its colder.

Honeydew
We picked 7 this week. And Scott says there are 15 to pick next week.

Gardening for 9 months; we have been learning from our mistakes. This is our second crop of corn and boy its a lot better the second time around. I give all the credit to my Honey!

As you can see, our tomatoes need to be pulled out. They are tuckered out from producing so much. We have so much to do next week; take out our tomatoes, cucumbers, melons, zucchini and pumpkins. Everything except the corn in the back garden. And we will be planting peas in the fenced garden also.

Cucumber

Basil

Rosemary

If I can have a moment of silence for my dieing eggplant......
If you recall I talked about how we grew 96 eggplant from seed in the house, so they can have a better start.....ALL 96 ARE DEAD.
Scott's prayers have been answered!

Edamame

Stop LOOKING at my Melons!!
Pervert!

Porter found an Egyptain hat that Grandma brought back from her trip years ago.

Perfect fit

Grandma always has fun and creative projects for the kids to do when we get done with the garden. Here is McKenzie and Sarah drawing on black paper and when its scratched its rainbow colored.

Lately, Sarah has been Scott's shadow.

Here is by Buddy...He is always so happy to see me. I love Jimmy.

Surprising Twist

We had no idea that Grandma and Grandpa were going to have a birthday party for us.

While I was cooking dinner, McKenzie and Grandma put together a present for me from McKenzie. Every thoughtful.
Scott had a shadow with my ball cap, and working in the garden for several hours...not going to take that hat off.....
Yo Dog.... I'm Front'n the Gangsta look

Thanks Mom and Dad for the Campbell recipe cards

Sarah found an ornament that she painted months ago and wrapped it... wants to be like big sister (wearing it like an earring)

Big Hugs for the Birthday Girl.

Changing a few things

Our family used the Labor Day weekend to labor around the house. Scott put in bender board around each of the 3 trees in the yard.

As the girls helped taking the rocks from the edge of the lawn and throwing them into the circles.

Porter cant help liking pink. That is why we need another boy in the house. Pray for a baby boy soon.....

While Lydia and Sarah and Scott went to Lowe's for some more supplies, Porter and McKenzie rode their bikes.

Porter trying hard to lift the shovel to take out the dead grass so Daddy can plant new.

Final Product

Scott and the girls did a Banging Job!

Muffins for Moms

Lakewood Lions each year have a morning for Muffins for Moms and Donuts for Dads in September. It was a memorable morning for me and my girls.

GO LIONS!

Clark Fort

Yearly Clark Fort Camp-Out

As girls, we do need to look our best, especially camping.

Lydia is so good with little kids.

It was great to have Jen and Spencer up camping to. Noah was nice enough to let Porter ride on his bike. I think if things were reversed, Porter would have a hard time. Noah was as sweet as can be.

Aleena had a great set up with Amy. A swing, rope and two trees equals a happy baby.

There were chipmunks everywhere. And I mean everywhere!! But this one love dirty socks, newspaper, trash and much more. He took this whole newspaper and ran back to his hole. It was the funniest thing to see.

As you can see with so many pictures of Porter, he is in his element.

Noah pushed Porter for hours, up and down the hill. Noah is strong....Porter is heavy!

Time to make Foil Dinners

Last morning of the camping trip, McKenzie wanted to help with the pancakes.

Good morning Everyone

As I turn to sit back down to eat after getting the camera, Grandma and Grandpa are waving from their awesome Airstream Trailer.

Before we began to pack up, Lydia was off making a surprise for me.

Sweet, Sweet Lydia.

Porter loves his McKenzie

Saying Good-bye
