Ice cream, You scream, We all scream for Ice Cream!

Scott went to South San Francisco and passed the It's It's factory. What a sweet heart Scott is, always thinking of me even when he is out working hard. He knew this simple picture would bring a smile to my face. And it surly did. It's It's bring me back to my childhood. As a child it was all about ice cream. Heck, who am I kidding, its all about ice cream as an adult! Am Pm was the happening place for the Adamska family. We bought It's It's, beef jerky, soda, soft serve ice cream, salt and vinegar chips and much more. Am Pm is where I was first introduced to It's It's. My favorite It's It's is mint chip.
Soft serve was the best because my Dad was the master at the amount of ice cream you can put on a cone. Am Pm was the place we went before a trip (long or short) or before a volleyball tournament, just on a hot day or just a craving for ice cream. It was great because Am Pm was right off the freeway; every convenient!
I love life situations that create memories of the wonderful times spent with family!

This Dates me

When I started dating Scott in 1996, he shared a room with his brother Spencer. They had a TV in their room, but sadly there was NO remote. At the time I was working at Barnes and Noble $8.00 an hr, so I saved my money and purchased this 13" TV with remote at Good Guys for $375.00. Scott was thrilled!
Wow, today you can buy a 32" LCD for $375.00....This surely dates me.
Memories will last, but this TV has not.

Things happens in 3's

My dishwasher broke, my kitchen faucet broke and Sarah ended the night with splitting her eye lid open. If things happen in three's, we are OK for awhile. I have never heard Sarah cry like that before. I got her to calm down a little when McKenzie was freaking out, which made Sarah cry more and then Lydia said, There's blood! Well you can imagine the rest. I was proud of myself, usually I am the one who is hysterical. Scott arrived just in time to patch up her eye lid.

What a difference a day makes.

Such a loving little brother.

Lydia's tooth

Funny little story behind Lydia's loose tooth. Lydia still sucks her thumb when she is tired and at night. After school she was sucking her thumb while watching TV and Scott comes down stairs and lifts her up by her thumb. She started to cry and said her tooth hurts. It was indeed loose. She was hysterically crying. Terrified of the thought of blood, imagining that the tooth would be coming out and the pain it was going to cause. Sarah on the other hand was crying with jealously. McKenzie was extremely excited and trying to tell her how to pull it out. So what I am saying is, it was quite quiet in the house. :)
The next morning after breakfast she pulled it out.

Here is my beautiful toothless girl.

Gammie and I spent the morning picking out fabric for her tooth fairy pillow. Gammie made one for McKenzie and what Gammie does for one she does for them all. The pillow turned out awesome! She also put a gift card in it and that made for another great surprise on a special day for Lydia.

We have an orchard!

We have an orchard! I was informed that the house in back of our orchard is in foreclosure. That's perfect, we will be moving there and a gate will be put in to have easier access to the garden/orchard.

The horses come out to play when the weather is as beautiful as it has been.

Blossoms

Our first apricot.

Today we are putting in Raspberries, Blueberries and Blackberries.

I guess I know where Porter gets his cheesy grin from.

The artichoke plants have enormous leaves.

I love the purplish hue to the broccoli plants.

Onions or is it garlic....All looks the same. We are planting both.

Carrots

Peek-a-boo
Mom/Dad's Orchard

With pruning, a marvelous watering system, and fertilizing mom/dad's orchard is going to off the chain this year. Just look at the photos.
Good Job, Scott!

Phillip Farms

Animals, get ready...here we come!
I decided to take all 6 kids to Phillip Farms here in Lodi. We had a blast, enjoying the animals, weather and each other.

Amongest one of the Great Ones

As I walked into the chapel tonight, I saw Elder Jeffrey R. Holland on the stand talking with someone, I immediately felt the spirit and I started to cry. Words cant describe the feeling that I had seeing and hearing his words Saturday night and Sunday morning. He radiates Christ's love for each of us. I felt like I could take on the world when he spoke of trials and heartaches that we all have in our lives. No matter how small or large our trails are, Christ is with us and will fix it all. Endure and know that we are loved and he is closer than we can ever imagine. Elder Holland said, It's not because of our unrighteousness that we have trails, its because of our righteousness that he will see us through. I love what he said next; Heavenly Father loves broken things so he can fix them. Going to him when we are "broken" makes us feel better, he fixes us!

At the end of the Sunday morning session, Elder Holland ended the conference by giving everyone a blessing. He told us this blessing is like he was putting his hands on each of our heads. Just like the crowds gathered for Jesus Christ, he also gave a blessing to all in this manner. He blessed us that we would endure to the end, that our trails would be short, to know of the Saviors love for us and to "stay in the boat when there is a storm."

Mark 4:35-41

And the same day, when the even was come, he saith unto them, Let us pass over unto the other side. And when they had sent away the multitudes, they took him even as he was in the ship. And there were also with him other little ships. And there arose a great storm of wind, and the waves beat into the ship, so that it was now full. And it was in the hinder part of the ship, asleep on a pillow, and they awake him, and say unto him, Master, carest thou not that we perish? And he arose, and rebuked the wind, and said unto the sea, Peace be still. And the wind ceased, and there was a great calm. And he said unto them, Why are ye so fearful? How is it that ye have no faith? And they feared exceedingly, and said one to another, what manner of man is this, that even the wind and the sea obey him?

What an honor it was to be in his presence. Scott asked me if I would like to stand in line to shake his hand. I started to cry and I couldn't stop, I composed myself and said I wouldn't know what to say, I would just start to cry.
Sunday morning we had the honor to shake Elder Jeffrey R.Hollands hand. McKenzie was glowing after the hand shake. Elder Holland said Porter looked like a missionary and he could send him off today to Mongolia. I was next in line and like I said previous, nothing came out of my mouth but tears of joy. I whispered thank you and he then touched my check.
As we drove home I noticed that Scott was wiping his eyes. Tears were running down his face as he said to me, "I am not ready for Porter to go on a mission yet." We know we have time; but time sure goes fast.
I have felt the Holy Ghost with we since I have seen and heard from Elder Holland and I love this feeling. I hope thought my life I can remember the way this has felt. I feel closer to my Heavenly Father more than ever before.
I am thankful for this once in a life time opportunity to see and hear from him. I thought for a moment, if I am acting like this being in the presence of Elder Holland who is a 12 Apostle, how is it going to be when Christ returns and we are all in the Saviors view?

I will never forget this!

Talent Show Darlings

My girls spent two days working on a Talent Show for Scott and I to watch. (I give credit to Aunt Whitney and Uncle Ben for creating the love of talent shows in our house.) McKenzie was the MC and gave us the run down of what was to come throughout the show.

McKenzie was first playing, "Mary had a Little Lamb".

Lydia followed with a story titled, "Daddy can we have?"
It was so sweet. She kept saying over and over, Daddy can we have a big house, Daddy can we have a big dog, Daddy can Mommy have a baby boy. On and on in her cute little voice.
I was off to the side of the whole talent show and I could see the paper that Lydia and Sarah
were holding and they had few words on them. It was great to see their big imaginations grow and expand right before us.

Sarah made up a great story about a little boy named Jack and his dog named Rosie. Jack's sister was allergic to Rosie, so Jack decided to hide Rosie under his bed and feed her and have that be where she lives from now on.

What's funny about that story is that my mom bought a cat, and Uncle Ben had a horrible allergic reaction one Sunday night so that next day my Mom got rid of the cat. I guess Sarah thinks that Gammie should have hid it from Ben underneath her bed.

Scott and I a year this June converted one bedroom into a playroom (Barbie's, computer, T.V, desk, ect) and the other bedroom holds all four kids. The computer has educational web sites on it only; PBS kids alphabetical dinosaur song from A-Z was sung by the girls and don't forget a bit of hip action.

Go Purple

Tot soccer is here again, but what a difference a year makes. Today Scott taught Lydia and Sarah how to bump legally. And I say that loosely. From that point on, Lydia and Sarah have loved soccer. Here is Sarah warming up with the coach.

Lydia is bumping the coach and gets it passed him.

The game has begun, Lydia is close can she do it?

Yes she did! (As she runs to Dad for a congrats hug)

Look close, Sarah is right there.......Did she make a Goal?

Yes she did.
Scott is her biggest fan.

Wait, there is Lydia at the goal........
Can you say GOAL

High Five!

Good game blue, but we won 2-9
If we sound competitive, we are.
Scott asked Troy (coach) if he needed him to forward the score so he can put it on face book. He said he had it in his blackberry. Troy made a comment that Lydia would have the most knock downs with an astrics next to it...reading "Per Daddy."

Whatever makes my girls love the game. Soccer is all about being aggressive.

We spent the whole afternoon playing soccer with the girls at a nearby park. Soccer cleats, shin guards were bought and all the kids had a blast. This year the twins will be able to play Tot soccer and city league and they are ready for it
Highlight Photos

The men in my life were tired after all the fun.

We had also a fun evening planned with Dave and Laurie Cundari and their grandson, Logan. We spent the evening playing cards while the kids entertain themselves. The four of us are very competitive and out-going and you can imagine what a whirlwind of fun we had together. We couldn't of had a better time.
