Campbell Camp-out

On the way to Sunset Beach, we saw that we were coming into the City of Campbell.

Hey look we should have stayed there....said the kids in our car.

Next Right, Scott's Valley Dr

The girls were saying, where's my name???

Hello Campers...... THE CAMPBELL'S ARE HERE!!!!

Here is our camp site.

Just behind us are miles and miles of strawberry fields.
The weather was great. Temp at the highest was 61; unlike Lodi at 107.

Fathers little helper. I know Scott is anxious to have Porter grow up to help more with setting up.

We are going to all crash tonight; its been a long day at the beach....if you didn't gather that from my face! I was being such a super duper mom, applying sunscreen to all the kids that I forgot my self.

The kids woke up raring to go. They wanted a snack before we could get breakfast on the table. Camping will do that to you, you know.

Foil dinners are essential when you camp.

There were two camp sites and we were in one and JJ and family and John and Alice were in the other. So grandpa and grandma's camp site was base. You cant tear the cousins apart when they are together.

All along the fence line of the strawberry fields are the camp grounds. John and Alice happened to have the camp site that someone had cut the fence and made a path leading right to the strawberries.

No joke, next year I am not bringing any food, we will be eating strawberries. I am astonished that none of my children had the runs!

Like the sign.....obviously was put in before the cutting of the fence and making that very appreciated pathway.

oh...did I mention that we ATE STRAWBERRIES!

Beach Time

We ate your lunch safely without the added sand on the benches before the walk over the dunes.

Relaxing moments caught with the camera

Look every close, you may not be able to see Porter; he is dressed in camo clothing.

The last day was spend solely with Grandpa and Grandma. Here they all are crowded around grandma, as she resights the poems by memory from the book, Where the Sidewalk Ends.

We are so happy to be at Sunset Beach. Its our last meal and we are all sad to have the 5 days come to an end. I can honestly say that because there were showers there.

Why have the S'mores, when you can just have the whole Hersey Bar?

What a sweet moment captured on camera.
One on one time with Grandpa.
