Porter Talk

Porter has his own language. McKenzie's name is Key Key. Sarah is WaWah. And Lydia is Bebe. Porter loves his sisters. He is a very lovey boy.

Go Green

This picture screamed "Protect the Environment" or "Go Green." I may be biased, but it should be on a poster representing those campaigns.

Happy Easter

Happy Easter from the Campbell Kids

At the Campbell home, Easter morning the Easter Bunny comes and hides candy throughout the house for the kids to find.

Sarah spotted a gold mine on the kitchen counter.

Lydia scored on the stairs.

And for McKenzie it's good to be tall.

Lydia wants to share her candy that she found with Porter. How sweet is that!

Happy as can be

Porter is enjoying the candy that the Easter Bunny left him.

It's nice to have traditions that include Easter Bunnies and candy and dyeing eggs; but the best part of Easter was what happened after church. We walked into the house and all the girls couldn't wait to share what they had learned during Primary. Lydia and Sarah asked if I knew that Jesus was resurrected. And they began to share with me, the meaning of Easter. Since McKenzie has been baptized, Scott and I have noticed her testimony is growing. Her prayers are more in depth, she is understanding so much more and striving to be like our Savior I am grateful that my family is a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.

Porter was cracking up becuase Grandma was bouncing a balloon on his head.

I hope everyone had a fantastic Easter Sunday.

2nd Harvest

It was just like we imagined it would be. Going out to the garden to get our salad for dinner put a big smile on my face. What a Joy!
Here are the green onions.

Dad with McKenzie and Sarah picking the snow peas.

Brussels sprouts aren't ready yet, but we had to thin them out so that they would be bigger. Waste Not, Want Not; we took the ones that we picked and put the tops of the sprouts in the salad.

Snow peas all in a row

Spinach was washed and put in a bowl by Porter.

Park Party

Lydia and Sarah wanted their 5th birthday party with the family at Peterson Park in Lodi. We all gathered together and enjoyed the great weather and great company.

Porter smiles on demand everytime you say "CHEESE."

Oh silly Lydia! For 5-10 minutes Lydia loved rolling down the hill and having fun. That night silly Lydia didn't have fun taking a bath and having the water sting her legs, back and arms leaving a red rash from the grass.

Porter has so much fun with Gammie and Papa. Porter is growing up so fast.

When Aunt Whitney is around, Sarah is attached at Whitney's hip.

Sarah is always Monkeying around!

Lydia is so strong.

McKenzie was looking forward to spending time with Cousin Erica. They always have the best time together.

Here is Cousin Erica, Natalie and Ryan

Papa better be glad that Porter is not a gassy toddler, especially with his face that close.

Papa and Gammie brought bubbles, bubbles and more bubbles to the park. I do think it was Papa's personal secret stash. I don't know who had more fun, Papa and Gammie or the kids.

Listen to this......

During the bubble fun, Uncle Ben notices down the street that this man is coming toward the park with these two parrots. He stops and talks with us and the two parrots perform for us. It was spectacular! After he left, Aunt Whitney told Sarah and Lydia that, that was their present from her and Ben. Later that week, Sarah comes up to me and says, "That was sure nice of Aunt Whitney and Uncle Ben to have the parrots come to our birthday party!"

Just gorgeous! We were all in Ah....

The weather was to windy that we faked blowing the candles out. I asked Lydia and Sarah what special cake did they want for their party. Lydia wanted my moms famous Sherry cake and Sarah wanted Scott's moms famous Lemon cake.
The park was quiet as we all were enjoying the cake.

Here are some photos of the great presents that they received.
This day was special because of all the wonderful people who attended and made it so.

Happy Birthday Lydia and Sarah!

Happy 5th Birthday
Lydia and Sarah

Table was set and ready for the Big Day the next morning.

Decorations were hung by the table with care,
In hopes that Lydia and Sarah soon would be there.

My Sleeping Beauties

Instant smiles

Loving hugs from one twin to the other. It's the best day ever!!!

Lydia and Sarah wanted doughnuts for breakfast just like their big sister did on her birthday.

As Lydia and Sarah walked to Rainbow School's door, they were greeted by balloons with their names on them. The excitement grows as each minute goes by on this special day. They are the center of the attention at school and home; who wouldn't love that for a day. Lydia and Sarah were able to bring their favorite snacks on their birthday. So Lydia brought "Cuties" (baby oranges) and Sarah brought Cheese-its.

Porter fit right in and found just what he was looking for.

If having a birthday today wasnt enough, Lydia and Sarah had loads of fun coloring Easter eggs to put into their baskets with grass that they grew themselves.

Miss Jana, Sarah, Miss Alexa and Lydia

On children's birthday at Rainbow School, the children get to pick what they want the teachers to do to them after the birthday song is sung. Do they want spanks. hugs or high fives. I quizzed Scott on what twin got what and he was right on the money with both. Two of the options totally fit their personalities to a T.

Sarah wanted Hugs

Lydia wanted Spanks

My babies are 5.

All the girls wanted to do was to go to Chuck Cheese for dinner. But Scott and I had told everyone that we had a surprise before. We took them to Monsters Vs Aliens in 3D. They were so surprised! And loved the movie.

Chuck Cheese here we come...

They fun has begun.

You know they are training for the Monster Truck Rally.

Porter is a natural with that perfect shooting form.

A Very Happy Family

McKenzie bought Lydia and Sarah sun glasses with her own money. They were a hit!

Dad bought them wallets with mom's present were the purses.

Its been a long day for Porter but the girls loved the Barbies from him

They have a look like, Woops, should we have done that.
