31cent Scoop night

Don't you know that we were all in line at Baskin Robbins 30 minutes early tonight for there .31 cent scoop night. They put a cap on the amount of scoops that you can have; 3 per person. The word obviously got out that the Campbells LOVE ice cream and would eat them out of it!
Man, those are some happy kids.

Earth Day

McKenzie wrote this story today:
Have you ever been somewhere where there was garbage everywhere? Or been to a beach with glass broken and trash thrown? Well that's what happens to Lodi Lake.
In the beginning of every winter the lake water of Lodi Lake drains. The people that go there see all the garbage that people throw into the lake. That garbage kills or will kill the ducks, fish, and turtles that live there.
Can you imagine if no one littered? Our earth would be nicer and cleaner. We should never litter...EVER!
McKenzie titled this Chapter 1. So you know there is more to come. She read this to me today, so I thought it would be a fantastic to put it on the blog for Earth Day. She has always had a talent for writing and drawing. She drew this picture with Scott's mom when she was 5.

Every girl wants them

I remember Whitney and I putting on my Dad's clippies from his hair Salon, Fiesta Hair Care. He uses the clippies for holding the foil together when women are getting color done. Who needs to spend $5.00 a box for fake nails when you have a never ending supply of clippies.
Don't even get me started on fake hair!!
Whitney I know, you know what I am talking about!

Every Week

Its such a treat to ride in Grandpa big truck. My kids are grinning from ear to ear.

Here is the other horse that the neighbors have.

It was such wonderful weather today. We were all out. Papa mowing the back, Scott, Porter and I gardening, Grandma and my girls were doing yard work. When we got home, I noticed that Scott and I got some sun. Give us a month and we will be farming with our farmer tans!

If you look close you will see a white post on the left and continue to look farther out you will see another post in the grassy area. That is where Scott what's to extend the garden to now.
Where the dirt is, is where the corn is going to be, then tomatoes, and then the melons. We are going to go CRAZY with the melons this year.

Grandma does such a nice job with her yard.

McKenzie went on a field trip to the Grape Bowl for Ag Day. And brought back a cabbage plant. For the biggest cabbage, you can get $1000.00. So that is what McKenzie is shooting for.

Papa came into the house and asked me, who is the biggest kid in here and I said McKenzie. But I thought a minute and understood what he meant. Grandma is....she was the one who wanted Mario Card.
And her grand kids love to play with her.

Our first harvest of Broccoli.

Two Parties one Weekend

Thank you Uncle Ben & Aunt Whitney and Papa for the balloon backdrop.
Lydia and Sarah requested a homemade Oreo Cookie Ice cream cake for the party at Gammie's and Papa's house.
Gammie and Papa sure set the bar high when they let McKenzie for her birthday spend the night. Following that a shopping spree. So Lydia and Sarah are excited for tomorrow to come so they can do the same.

Aunt Whitney went over the top making these adorable shirts, with matching hair accessories.

The Campbell Party
Seeing how we were at the garden all day Saturday, it was nice for everyone to meet us at John and Alice's for Lydia and Sarah's birthday party. Thank you Mom and Dad for letting us party down at your beautiful home.
There is a funny story ( funny for some and sad for others) following these 6 pictures. See if you can guess what happened without the narrative.
Both Lydia and Sarah are so happy to blow out their birthday cake.

That sneaky Lydia blew hers and Sarah's candles out before Sarah could even get a chance.

Grandma to the rescue!!
Dry your tears.
Let's start over.
I will light your candles and we will sing to you again.

And Grandma even held Lydia back. ( Lydia still is smiling) Makes you wonder what is going through Lydia's little mind.

All is well in the Campbell home, that chocolate cake fixed it all....with a
lot of help from Grandma!

Star of the Week

Each Kindergartner gets to be Star of the Week.
A whole week to be the center of attention. The star of the week gets to bring in stuff they want to share with the class, answer questions from friends, be the leader to recess and lunch; and of course the best part wearing the crown.

Great find

I am a lover of thrift stores. And this was a great find. It was like Christmas for Porter in April.
What perfect form...
Will it go in?
Absolutely it does! He was taught by the best...Daddy

The Best Art Teacher Ever

Alice (my mother-in-law) was gracious to volunteer her time and talent to Lakewood School. She taught an art class in the twins Kindergarten class.

One little girl from Mrs. Moffetts Kindergarten class wrote in her journal the day after the art lesson:
I cant wait until next Wednesday when Mrs. Campbell comes to teach us art.
It was the best day.

What a treat to eat lunch with grandma.

Right after Lydia and Sarah's lunch, mom was able to eat with McKenzie. McKenzie's art lesson for her 3rd grade class was after lunch.

The class LOVED the dragons. There were some great artists in the class.
You cant help be good when you have a great teacher like my mother-in-law. She's the best!

Happy Birthday Lydia & Sarah

I cant believe my twin girls are 6 years old. Its been an honor to be their parents and I look forward to many more years of love and laughter.

Doughnuts for birthday breakfast.

For their birthday lunch they wanted to buy lunch at school. They were so excited.

Best buds.
Lydia, Sarah, Ashlyn and Jillian

Birthday Hugs
Miss Hedi announced that Lydia and Sarah had a birthday; and they were able to use the microphone to dismiss tables and sing a couple of songs. Lydia did most of the singing. She is a goof ball.

Belonging to the Baskin-Robbins birthday club and the Cold Stone Birthday Club is a must! FREE ice cream on your birthday.
*Happy Birthday Girls*

Lydia and Sarah both wanted to go to Chucky Cheese for dinner. They scarfed down dinner to get to the fun.
